Young Americans for Liberty at Vanderbilt University (YAL@VU) is the official libertarian student organization on campus. The YAL chapter was officially started in Fall 2010 by then-freshman Kenny Tan.

Since our founding, YAL@VU has been extremely active in shaping political discourse on campus. Today, we are actively recruiting, educating, and mobilizing students on libertarian philosophy through educational activities open to the general Vanderbilt community.

YAL@VU is a chapter of the national organization, Young Americans for Liberty.

The mission of Young Americans for Liberty (YAL) is to train, educate, and mobilize youth activists committed to "winning on principle." Our goal is to cast the leaders of tomorrow and reclaim the policies, candidates, and direction of our government.
